Outside OHADA · Southern Africa
Angola, where everything changes
Another language, another currency, another chart of accounts, another body of law: Angola is the only one of our four markets to fall entirely outside the OHADA framework. It is why Konseo learned a second accounting framework, and why this site already has a Portuguese page.

The kwanza. Neither pegged nor part of the franc zone.
Plano Geral de Contabilidade. Its classes do not mean what they mean in OHADA.
Documents, screens and contracts included, not just conversation.
Luanda keeps the same time as Yaoundé.
Why it gets its own page
A supplier who advertises “Africa” and turns up in Luanda with an OHADA chart of accounts and documents in French gets shown the door. Nothing that holds in Douala or Abidjan applies here as is: not the framework, not the language of the paperwork, not the governing law. This page exists so the difference is legible before the first meeting, not discovered during it.
Who you contract with
Being incorporatedThe Angolan company is being incorporated. Until it is registered, our French entity issues the quote, signs the contract and invoices. The settlement currency is agreed in the quote: the kwanza is not pegged, and we would rather discuss that up front than discover it on payment.

The kwanza is not pegged: the exchange question arises here, and nowhere else.
What we do there
Bespoke work, in Portuguese
Screens, documentation and user training. An application delivered in French is not delivered.
Konseo, in PGC
The software’s second accounting framework. It still awaits sign-off from a local chartered accountant.
Hosting and upkeep
Go-live, backups, security patches — and the offline mode, which matters as much here as in Central Africa.
Konseo keeps Angolan PGC accounts — where class 6 holds income and class 7 holds expenses, the reverse of OHADA. The screens show it.
